This past June Katherine and I attended the Hampton Roads Blackbeard Festival as pirate reenactors. We had the time of our lives. Hanging out with, camping, staging mock land and sea battles, eating a “period dinner” on a “tall ship”, all with the Pirates. The first picture is of Blackbeard himself and his wife Miss DeeGee with Katherine. We were able to spend quite a lot of time the first evening with them. They were so much fun. Katherine was enamored with the Captain and Miss DeeGee. The next photo shows Katherine outside of the Pirate’s Ball with some of her fellow Pirates. The next day some of the members of “Blackbeard’s Crew” put Katherine to work at their booth selling pirate gear. That is Stan and behind him Miss Karen. Katherine seemed to be a natural at selling Pirate gear. The fourth photo is of Katherine, Spyder, Al and his son Bob. The last photo is a small sampling of some of the Pirates. If you look closely you can see Katherine but she was holding her pistol in front of her face so you can barely see her.
